Soulfound Calling It Quits
After a decade as a fixture of the Tampa Bay modern rock scene, Clearwater’s Soulfound have decided to call it a career.
“All of us have not been in the same room since April 2009 and we don’t plan on ever playing as Soulfound again (never say never but there are no immediate plans),” singer-bassist Ivan Pena wrote on the band’s MySpace page. “There is no bad blood and most of us remain friends.”
So what happened? According to the band, they hadn’t really seen each other since this Creative Loafing interview, and members had already gone on to other things.

Mohawk Bomb Records CEO and A&R man, Ivan Pena, will be among the judges at the 7th annual Rock Solid Pressure Showcase at the State Theater in St. Petersburg, FL on September 19. This will be the second year Ivan is part of this event, considered by many as one of the best-unsigned band showcases in America.
