4 Questions with Drew Street Mary

Mixing indie rock polyphony with pop songsmithing, Drew Street Mary’s sound falls somewhere in the sounscape laid down by The Beatles,
1) Why should people pay attention to your band?
People should pay attention to us because we have a sound that’s different and familiar at the same time, and an energetic live show to match.
2) Why did you decide to give Mohawk Bomb a try?
We’ve played a bunch of shows with Soulfound and when Ivan told us about the compilation we didn’t even think twice about being a part of it, we knew it would be a first class product!
3) What are your plans for 2008? Music? Touring? Videos?
We’re actually in the studio working with platinum winning producer Tom Morris right now trying to wrap-up a new four song EP. Our approach on this project has been different than past releases; we’ve really taken the time to dissect the songs and work them until we feel they’ve realized their full potential. Beyond finishing the EP we plan on playing shows around the Southeast and continuing to build our fanbase.
4) In the long term, what do you hope to accomplish with your music? Goals?
Long term we hope to play our music for as many people that are willing to listen! Our attitude is that if we’re playing songs we’re passionate about and having fun doing it the fans will be having a great time too!
