4 Questions with Pirate Love

Pirate Love Norway has been the breeding ground for jazz and black metal bands for years. But the scrappy ensemble of mayhem-loving garage surf rockers known as Pirate Love could change all that. The self proclaimed “saviors of Norwegian rock”, Pirate Love will be making the rounds this summer in several Norwegian festivals, plus some dates across Europe. Deathpoet/Vocalist David Dajani shares a little with us in this installment of 4 Questions:

1) Why should people pay attention to your band?
Because Pirate Love plays vital, fresh and psychedelic space-punk rock n roll and does it damn well! And we´re from Norway, the most boring place on earth, so we give it everything- everytime.

2) Why did you decide to give Mohawk Bomb a try?
Because you´re a new label and it sounds like a really cool thing what you´re doing.. And wouldn´t it be exotic with a Norwegian band on your compilation? [Yes, it is. Editor]

3) What are your plans for 2008? Music? Touring? Videos?
We´re gonna write, record, dance, play and boogie. We´re working on our home-recording studio and we´re thinking fresh ideas. We´ve been playing alot of gigs this year and some really cool festivals too, amongst others Hove festival and in two weeks, the Øya-festival in Oslo with the Sonics, Grinderman, My Bloody Valentine, Turbonegro etc… Going to London in November too, playing some gigs. and we´re working on the USA too. And basically everywhere we´re allowed to play.

4) In the long term, what do you hope to accomplish with your music? Goals?
We wanna make this REAL. To be at the top and be best at what we do.
