4 Questions with Anareta
With a dark and fluid sound that weaves between early 90s grunge and late 90s hard rock, Pinellas Park’s Anareta carries the commanding rhythms of Tool through a journey on introspective melodies reminiscent of early Silverchair. One of Tampa Bay’s strongest draws, Anareta has only just begun. Alex Williamson, Bassist, sat down with us for a quick 4 questions session:
1) Why should people pay attention to your band?
We want to write songs that people can connect to as much as we do ourselves.
2) Why did you decide to give Mohawk Bomb a try?
Being local takes alot of the kinks of working with a compilation project out of the picture, plus we know the guys and that builds a good trust foundation to work from when you are handing someone a copy of your music.
3) What are your plans for 2008? Music? Touring? Videos?
We have some follow up music to our EP released last January coming out in the fall, and in between that shows and more shows.
4) In the long term, what do you hope to accomplish with your music? Goals?
All four of us want to play music; we want to get the music out there, let the masses consume it and hopefully turn the dream into a lifestyle.
