4 Questions with 900 Pound Gorilla
With a fast punk rock that ties in NOFX, Millencolin and good The Offspring (pre-White Guy), 900 Pound Gorilla’s uniformed auditory assault is sure to make your heads bang and your middle fingers fly. John Baker, guitar/vocals, chimes in 4 Questions:
1) Why should people pay attention to your band?
We’re a different kind of band, a little more fun than the usual sort of groups that play punk/metal/rock. Most of the groups incorporating metal like this are a little more doom and gloom. Sure we’ve got something to say, but we’re just expressing our opinion, not shoving it down your throats.
2) Why did you decide to give Mohawk Bomb a try?
We decided to give Mohawk Bomb a try, because the concept seemed cool concept. Also, quite honestly, after reading about you online Ivan, it seemed you knew what you we’re doing and would turn out a good product.
3) What are your plans for 2008? Music? Touring? Videos?
Our plans for 2008 include finishing a 2nd record, recording a half live, half cover 3rd record, playing a bunch of high profile shows , and doing about 3 videos. It seems like a lot, and it is- but this could be a good year for us.
4) In the long term, what do you hope to accomplish with your music? Goals?
In the long term we’d like to continue making music on our terms while growing our fan base, touring and selling albums.
