Mohawk Bomb Artists on Overflow Underground Radio Show

Overflow Radio is a pirate radio show based in the UK, which broadcasts out of a couple of radio stations in UK and Netherlands. Also, from their Website. For the last two weeks, they have been playing tracks from our two releases “Is a RockBand” by Soulfound and No Lip Vol. 1:

The Overflow with Garry Lee – Playlist 296, Hour 2
Soulfound “You Only Get One
900 Pound Gorilla “Gutterball

The Overflow with Garry Lee – Playlist 297, Hour 2
New Skool Kings “Here to Stay
Soulfound “My Kind of Thing

Also, they selected “Is a Rock Band” as the CD of the week on October 24:

“One of many bands/artists that we’ve met through MySpace… ‘Soulfound’ are a superbly talented 4-piece from Clearwater, [Florida]. They’re unique blend of powerpop-rock is enough to get any party buzzing! A combination of wonderful melodic songs, stunning vocals, harmonies and perfectly toned guitar-riffs make this a mighty fine album.”

Cheers to Garry Lee and long live Overflow Radio!

First Mohawk Bomb Records Entry on Grammy Ballot

900 Pound Gorilla’s wickedly rad punk tune “Gutterball” has made the cut onto this year’s Grammy nomination ballot. “Gutterball” was featured on No Lip Vol. 1. This is the first Mohawk Bomb Records artist to make an appearance on a Grammy ballot and we couldn’t be prouder of John, Donat and Jeff. The song is entry #102 (in between Nickelback and Nine Inch Nails) in Field 4 – Rock, Category 16 -  Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals.

If you are a voting member, please vote for 9PG and MBR!

MBR Takes Over WMNF 88.5 in Tampa Bay

Tonight, MBR took over the Psycho Realms show for about an hour to talk about and play some of the tracks from No Lip Vol. 1 and Soulfound’s upcoming album “Is a Rock Band”. Thanks to DJ Arth Mawr and the crew for having us on the air. We got to meet Marashino, a bad ass band that will be performing at the Rock Solid Pressure Showcase this weekend. Although DJ Arth Mawr picked the cuts from No Lip Vol. 1, we got to dictate the rest of the playlist. Here’s we ended up with:

Soulfound “Occupation”
New Skool Kings “Here To Stay”
NOFX “Don’t Call Me White”
900 Pound Gorilla “Gutterball”
Pirate Love “A Kiss Hello”
The Mars Volta “Intertiatic E.S.P.”
Drew Street Mary “Final Approach”
For Squirrels “Stark Pretty”
Charley Ramsay “Monkey See Monkey Do”
Black Flag “My War”
Rollins Band “Liar”
Henry Rollins (spoken word) “Bad Drugs and Bad Music”
Queens Of The Stone Age “Feel Good Hit of the Summer”
Soulfound “You Only Get One”
Adrift “Back to Square One”
